Hanging Lake
Since it’s coming up on June sooner than you might think, it’s time to start planning day trips and day hikes into the Rockies. One of my favorite little trips is to Glenwood Springs and hiking to Hanging Lake. The image below was shot last June when my family spent a long Father’s Day weekend in Glenwood Springs, swimming, fishing and of course hiking to Hanging Lake. Even though this shot was pretty much at midday, the lighting isn’t all that bad for a historical image. I’d much prefer the early morning or late afternoon/evening for photographing here (or overcast!), but you shoot when you can on family trips. No complaints here!
