Chautauqua Park – Black and White – I
Please tell me what you think about either of these three images from Chautauqua Park. These have been converted and tweaked in Lightroom from their original color captures. Also, two images are of the same basic composition, just that one is landscape oriented, while the other is portrait oriented.
Enjoy…

Spring Has Sprung
Spring is finally showing itself (even though the mountains around us just received over 18 inches of snow yesterday!) Down here at the house, my trees are starting to bloom.

Favorite Tree
Taken the same frigid morning where I caught the Walk in the Park image below, where originally I was attempting to capture this tree in a different composition.
I was driving back from dropping my daughter off at school when I saw this scene from the car. Quickly, I continued home and grabbed my camera gear and headed back over to the lake. The mist and fog were shifting so rapidly, I was just hoping I could capture it the way I initially saw it . (A good reason to always, ALWAYS carry a camera!)
Unfortunately, the fog had already drifted away and I missed what I had envisioned in my head — next time.
But I liked the B&W converted image still.
