Sunflowers
Finally was able to make it out to a sunflower field and I was lucky to have chosen one close by and that was near peak!

Sunflowers Near DIA
After much searching and questioning my social media friends, we did locate a Sunflower field out near Denver International Airport and got some time in front of these beauties before they turned sour. This was right off of 120th Street near Gun Club Road, just east of E-470.

Late Bloomers
I finally made it to a large Sunflower patch a friend of mine found out on Gun Club Road near 97th (by DIA) last week. The field was a little bit past prime, but still in very good shape. It was really tough though, having to compose in and around all the smoke from the Western fires.
Another lesson was learned too, about how sensitive the #Sony #a6000 is to focal points and depth of field. When focus precision is required, I think next time I’ll put the camera in manual focus mode and perhaps get better results.
