Favorite Tree
Taken the same frigid morning where I caught the Walk in the Park image below, where originally I was attempting to capture this tree in a different composition.
I was driving back from dropping my daughter off at school when I saw this scene from the car. Quickly, I continued home and grabbed my camera gear and headed back over to the lake. The mist and fog were shifting so rapidly, I was just hoping I could capture it the way I initially saw it . (A good reason to always, ALWAYS carry a camera!)
Unfortunately, the fog had already drifted away and I missed what I had envisioned in my head — next time.
But I liked the B&W converted image still.

Walk in the Park
Here’s a photo taken very near to my house last week during the bitter cold spell here in Colorado. I was out shooting a favorite tree in the fog and came across this pathway leading up and over a rise in the park-like settings. Converted it to B&W and it almost looks infrared since the snow on the trees stays white in the conversion.
Thoughts?
