Longs Peak
While out viewing and filming the Elk rut this year at the Upper Beaver Meadows Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park, Steve and I came across this beautifully framed shot of Longs Peak.

Late Bloomers
I finally made it to a large Sunflower patch a friend of mine found out on Gun Club Road near 97th (by DIA) last week. The field was a little bit past prime, but still in very good shape. It was really tough though, having to compose in and around all the smoke from the Western fires.
Another lesson was learned too, about how sensitive the #Sony #a6000 is to focal points and depth of field. When focus precision is required, I think next time I’ll put the camera in manual focus mode and perhaps get better results.

Pregame Warmups
Taken at last night’s Rockies versus Dodgers game at Coors Field. The grounds crew had just cleared the tarp off the field and the player finally had time for warmups on this cold 8th day of May. We’re supposed to have up to 10 inches of snow overnight tonight!
