Chautauqua Park
After our recent blizzard storm, I knew the clouds were clearing out overnight and that the Flatirons at Chautauqua Park would be coated white in the cold cold air, that I wanted to head over there on my way to work one morning last week. So this is actually one of the last images of about 150 from that bitterly cold (-9 degrees) morning. Just before packing things up and heading the 12 miles north to work, I saw this composition at the corner of Chautauqua Park and had to grab a few frames. I liked the framing aspect of the rocks and fence in the foreground, as well as the leading lines away into the distance the fence presents on the left. And then there’s those magnificent Flatirons in the upper right third… Ah, home!
